So we went to the Doctor yeasterday and found out that it is a GIRL that is in my belly!!!! I am still in shock and not quite believing it yet........ but I guess enough to post it?! We are so excited! We were taking bets with the boys on the way to the appt. and they both said they knew it was a baby sister! Chris thought forsure it was a boy and I really was on the fence. I felt like it was a girl, but didn't think I would be so lucky!! Now I truly don't believe I will believe it until I deliver this child and see it for my own two eyes but I guess when the doctor says we would need a "specialist" if it does come out a boy cuz it doesn't have boy parts, then that might mean something?! So that is the latest and greatest with the Penner's!!!

This is a few days after surgery... Mrs. Pistacio could tell he didn't feel well!

This is going into the hospital. He got to take "friend" the frog with him into surgery, he also got a cool dinosaur animal he took in also! Too bad they weren't the ones getting stuff cut outta them:(

Th red wagon they took him away in....... I was a mess!!!!! The saddest thing to watch! He was SO brave though! I thought he would cry but he was tough!!

He thought the silly hat he had to put on was fun!! Isn't he soooooooo cute!!

This is right after we got him dressed, he was so sad:( They were a little behind so him and Chris got to settle both thier nerves by watching a little Tom and Jerry!! It helped a little.

So, I have been a slacker and I am posting to let people know that I am alive.... at least kind of:) I have been sooooooooo sick and so sick of my computer! It physically makes me nauseous(sp?) Anywho, we are all doing a little better, except Chris, who decided to give himself the WORST sprain he could have playing a little b-ball with his brother!! The doctor wanted to cast it, but Chris insisted he would be good with a boot!! Kinda funny, I know I shouldn't laugh, but I clearly am not stable in my head right now!!! I will post pics latta, it took alot of talking into to get me to just type this!!!

So this was taken last sunday before EARLY church! I know I shouldn't complain, but if you know me, I don't like my mornings! But I just have to tell a really cute story.....so the other day I had drug the kids all over to go grocery shopping, well at one of the stores Cobey found a penny on the floor as we were checking out and the next thing I knew he was giving it to Jarron! So nice!!!! I was very proud of him for sharing and thinking of his big brother who LOVES to find the "moneys" on the ground! So then a little while later, Jarron still had the penny and I needed him to sanitize his hands, so he thought it would be a great idea to put the penny in his mouth!!! I frieked out and told him not to do that and he kinda looked at me really confused and simply asked, " Mommy, how does Jesus make money?" I just wanted to squeeze him, it was an honest question and I didn't know exactly how to answer it. I figured out a good answer and he was just fine with it and went about his sanitizing of the hands!!! Just another proud mommy moment!!!!

So the day came that Jarron got to get his cast off!!!! He wasn't to excited about it, since it was his 2nd time getting a cast off, but we told him he could get a prize if he was brave. Well we had a little trauma at first, but the nurse was very, very good and worked well with Jarron. She went very slow and made sure it didn't get too hot. She got the cast off, it took forever, and then she had to cut the gauze off and by george she cut him with the "safe" scissors and he was done being brave!!! Poor kid and poor nurse! She felt so bad!! Needless to say, his arm was hairier after taking the cast off and he got to pic out two prizes!!

My Mom is so cute! She had a "project" for JArron and Cobey to do with her, Jarron is ALWAYS wanting to play games or do projects with nanna!! This time she had them help her make some yummy goodies for Christmas. They had sooooo much fun and did very well with the treats!! Thanks Mom!!

This is a funny one... Mr. Cobey was a little "smelly" in the diaper area and Landon had to pull a face in my picture, of course!!

This is the second snow storm we have gotten this winter, but the first time they got to go out & play in it! Chris of course had to be out ther in all his gear and they made one GINORMOUS snow ball(pics. to come soon!)

We had our "friend" Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year. We get together on a day when the majority of the husbands will be home(we missed ya Steve) and try to eat some turkey!!! It was lots of fun and I had to take pictures to prove that my turkey and rolls turned out!!!! I was very nervous we would be ordering some pizza, but it all went very well and everyone's food was delicious!! I miss all our "get togethers" in Texas, but I do appreciate all those who had to travel to celebrate with us and wish we could do it more often!!! Thanks Jenny for making such a fun dvd of all our memories!!!!!

So we went to the "magoon" the last day of the season. We thought we would hit up the Frightmares at least once. We found out Jarron had grown a little since the last time we went this summer and he could go on "The Bat"! He was brave and tried it:) He said he liked it, so maybe next summer we can hit a few more of the bigger rides if he keeps growing!!!! It was fun just to spend the day together and just do what we wanted!!

So, Jarron was so excited to be "bumble bee" from Transformers.....he LOVES transformers!!!! He practiced his bumble bee "pose" and I think he perfected it!!! Cobey was so fun this Halloween, he couldn't make up his mind between being a Ghost, a firefighter or a pirate! Mom made the choice easier, we already had the pirate costume so that is what won!!! He had fun trick or treating and got TONS of candy!!! The best was him trying to eat the doughnut he got at our ward "trunk or treat", I will have to post that picture! It was too funny!!

So funny story..... this morning I was on the ball, I had the kids in the van ready to take Jarron to school, all of our recycling goods loaded up to go help "save the planet", dry cleaning ready to go get dropped off, a few returns to get done and what do ya know....... my van won't start!!!!!! SERIOUSLY?! So the funny thing about this story is that you would think that my first concerns would be getting Jarron to school or getting all my erands ran, oh no.... my frist panic thought was " Oh crap! I can't go get my diet coke this morning and I don't have any in the house?!?!? " Yes I have a problem, I am addicted!!!! I seriously went into panic mode! Luckily I have a very handy neighbor, Amy:) She saved my life today and as you can see in the pic. she knew how to do a man's work, she jump started my van!! YEA:) She was a lifesaver today and lots of other days!!! Thanks Amy, I owe you!! So I ended up getting to "Check-her-auto parts" and a nice young gentleman was able to get me a new battery and even put it in for me:) I think he knew I needed some help! Diet Coke anyone? I am learning very quickly to laugh at my life!!!!

All I have to say is if you are ever near a Pink Berry, you HAVE to try one.... they are too yummy :) I am glad I had Kristi there along with me, she understood the need to try one!! It was so fun going to the grove and farmers market in L.A. It is such a change in scenery every corner you turned in L.A.!! We got into some crazy parts.... maybe next time we can get the maps that show the stars homes and stay in the nicer parts!! I think I am done seeing strange drunk men on the corner peeing on themselves!! Yes that really did happen, I think we were trying to find our way out of "Korea town"? Not a good palce to be:)

So after our great day in Imperial Beach, we decided the next day we would try to upscale it a little and go to Coronado Island.... Well, we got there, walked around and looked at the shops enjoyed the scenery, it was nice. We decided we would hit the beach for some good photo opportunities, we got down there, really nice beaches by the way, and we started taking pictures. Well I told everyone to go down to the water and I would take the pic. I threw my flip flops off and took maybe 4 steps and I got this pain in my foot and it just kept shooting up my leg and stinging me! It hurt sooooo bad! So we see a lifeguard truck down the beach a ways, so cute little pregnant Angie starts running down there to get him. I am following her, hobbling along, trying not to let the tears just start flowing, so you ask where the other two were?! Picking up SEASHELLS and SAND DOLLARS, and taking pictures of themselves on the beach!!! Good friends I've got, right?! So the lifeguard tells me it was a "no see um" that got me and he wanted us to show him where I was when I got stung. So me and Angie hop in his truck and tell him where to go, Angie was sitting in the back seat and this guys dirty dishes were falling all over her! It was the funniest thing! He took us to our car and told me what to get at the store and what to do for my sting and sent us on our merry way! In the moment I really wasn't finding humor in all of it, I really hurt and I was kind of scared, but as soon as we got the ammonia and meat tenderizer on it, I felt a TON better:) So which one of my friends would have pee'd on me if I needed them to you ask? I would have to say..... Angie! Just kidding Ang, but it was funny cuz everyone that we told, their first reaction was "have someone pee on her!" eww gross!!!! The best part and I will have to post pics later, is that the life guard was David Arquette's look alike or twin!! He was totally a surfer dude!! I am laughing about it all now!! Good thing for ammonia and meat tenderizer, it really does work! I just had to pour it on my foot through out the day and I was fine!!! So if you are wondering what I am doing in some of those pics., it is me fixing my sting!!! Good times:) LOL!!

This is our first wonderful stop, Imperial beach San Diego.....if you were wondering, yes that is a television laying next to the DUMPSTER!!!!! Had we known how great this beach house was going to be, we might have just never came home! The best was the junk they left on the back patio for us to either keep or add to the garbage laying next to the garbage can! We tried to check in a little early and the girl told us she couldn't give us the keys cuz she didn't have them back yet, they were with the cleaners who were cleaning it. We walked aroung a bit and were being photographed by some scary man, so we HAD to get the keys!!! No if's and's or but's about it! We walked into our "beach house" and I wanted to cry! It stunk, it had not been cleaned in at least a month or two, we knew this because of the stench and maybe the dead moth and fly laying on the floor next to the couch, and I was not going to throw my $$$ away, so I got the nerve up and we walked back over to the office and I told them we needed to work something out! I know your probly thinking " not Darci?!" YES!!!!!! It was that bad! But needless to say we went and found a better place up in San Diego, not freiking Tiajuana!! We laughed so hard about it all, probly from the begining when the fancy, rich lady sitting next to us on our way over to get our rental car, had a priceless look on her face the minute we said we were staying on Imperial Beach!!! LOL It is all about the memories, right?! Thanks for helping us create good ones Andrea :)

So Tuesday evening we had our first ever broken arm experience!!! Poor Jarron was trying to be so tough and brave, but I don't think that heals bones back together very quickly. The dr. was so nice and Jarron got lots of suckers, which always makes life better, right?! So I was leaving for San Diego the next morning, the dr. wouldn't put the cast on until 24 to 48 hrs. later to let the swelling go down, so SUPER DAD had to take him in to cast it up!! I don't think having a big blue cast on his arm really phases him tho, he hasn't slowed down at all!! I love boys!!! Luckily Uncle Buddha was here when it all happened, so he was nice enough to stay with Cobey so Chris could go with me to take Jarron. Thanks Landon!!!

Yes, Jarron is holding onto Chris with his ONE good arm!!! Anyone wanna place bets on when our next broken bone will be?!

TA DA!!! Big Blue is what I call him now!!!! He has fun letting people sign his cast, it is pretty cool!!!

This is when we got home from the dr. the night it happened. It was all wrapped up and in the sling and he was not happy about it, but check out one of the MANY suckers the nurses gave him, in his hand. That was the only reason he stopped crying!! Poor kid:(

Since I last posted I was taking a nice pic. of the summer sunset....... well, this is what we woke up to Sunday morning:( I am not ready for winter?! I guess you could say we had a very busy summer, lots of camping, putting in our yard, playing with friends and family and having lots of fun sleepovers!!!! I will make sure I stay on top of this blogging stuff, lots of you have tagged me, I promise I will get to it. So my sweet little Jarron has has a couple of rough days! He seems to really be having a hard time with the whole "listen to your mom" bit. We have been butting heads, needless to say. So tonight I realized that we were out of milk, well if you know Cobey he NEEDS his milk! So I got the kids in their jammies and headed to the gas station, while we were driving you could see the moon so clearly and I pointed it out to the boys. It was just a "sliver" of the moon but you could see the shadow of the full moon behind it( if that makes any sense?) It looked cool. So I called it a "sliver of the moon" and Jarron laughed and said, "I call it a toenail moon!!" he thought he was pretty funny and laughed for a minute. It got kind of quiet and I thought maybe they were going to sleep, but then Jarron said to me in his oh so cute, innocent I just want to pick you up and squeeze you voice...." mommy, will you catch a star for me?" My heart melted! Some days I just don't know what to do with him, then I have moments like that and I know why I am soooooo lucky to be his mommy:) I love you bears!!

So what you will see below is just the begining of it! We have had the craziest past month or so and I keep telling myself it will slow down..... yea right! Who said anything about putting in a yard, running kids here and there cuz that is what summer brings, and just trying to keep up with all the other regular day to day stuff that already seems to consume me?! I am not complaining, but someday I would like to have all my laundry done and put away all in the same day!! I love busy work(thanks Mom) so I guess I create it, right? I know this is a random picture, but we were able to copy this picture of Chris and his Dad on his Dad's retirement flight into our computer using one of the wonderful gifts he got me for my birthday!!!! So I was really excited to start practicing a few things to see how all the computer geek stuff worked!! Thanks to my hubby and all the other people who made my day a very good one!!!! It is crazy how the years just keep catching up to me, I am fearing the big 30 next year, yes I believe I am going to have a harder time with 30 than 40?! But the good thing is I have a whole nother year to enjoy my twenties!!! Yup, I am still in my twenties!!!! ;-)

So I am reflecting on what was happening almost 2 years ago exactly! Chris had just gotten home for a day off and we had gone to my moms to have a redneck BBQ, I had felt pretty good that day and it was warm so we had spent most of it outside playing with Jarron. There was a storm moving into Utah that was supposed to be dropping the barometer, well we enjoyed our dinner, played and had gone home. It was about 10:15pm and I started to feel kinda of uncomfortable, now I was induced and maybe felt one contraction with Jarron so I just thought I ate to much or something. So I got up and went into the frontroom and tried to relax. Chris was getting up early to catch a flight to Newark( he was commuting at that time) , so I was trying to be quiet and not bother him so I called my mom and she told me to try and time my "pains" and see if they were close together( I had no idea what a contraction felt like) So I sat there not knowing what I was doing and decided to go back to bed, there was no way I was gonna be going into labor he still had 3 weeks before his due date!! So at about 2:30am I got up to pee and I did more than just pee, my water broke!! Never had I experienced this either, so I yell to Chris, "wake up I think my water just broke!" He responds, "are you sure?" " Uh, yup, pretty sure", was all I could say back! So, he gets up, I called my mom, she came to stay with Jarron and I called Dr. Housel and he said to get to the hospitol, I delivered at Ogden Regional so we had to drive a good 35-40 min., and that I was the second one to call him that night and that it was probly the barometer change that put me into labor! So it is true, it can happen:) Needless to say, I now have felt contractions and they do hurt! I still wasn't sure if I was going to have another c-section, I was procrastinating that decision I guess until it had to be made and then Dr. housel kind of made it for me:) It was a good decision on his part!! It was all such a whirl wind and I just remember Chris trying to give me a blessing and the dr. walked in, nurses hooking up anti-biotics to my I.V. and it all spilling and dripping all over the floor and then getting really nervous for the epideral and shaking really bad!! And then all of a sudden there was this little monkey in front of me all wrapped up, with dark skin and TONS of long black hair and all I could do was laugh cuz he was a little Buddah!!! I do actually think that was the first thing I said to him was that he looked like Landon! It was all over so fast, they took me back to my room and all I could do was itch!!! It was awful!! I was so out of it, but I remember that I kept itching my face and arms! We had no name picked out, the night before at my mom's Chris was going through a buch of pilots names that flew from his work and he had said what about Colby and I said, nah, but what about Cobey and him and my dad both said not after Kobe Bryant, no way!! I said no, spell it different and think about it. Well, I was persistent on leaving the hospitol early and so only 2 days later they brought us the papers to fill out and we decided on Cobey Philip Penner, Philip after my Grandpa Valencia. Oh and when we were tyring to leave the hospitol, Jarron had his major accident and got himself a big fat harry potter scar on his forehead! What a day! I sure don't know what our lives would be like without that handsome little boy running around here in nothing but his diaper and Nikes!! We love you Pobey!!! Happy Birthday #2!!!!!!!!

So after a good weekend of packing and moving and all that junk that goes along with moving, Landon and I decided to have a little fun and go "Crib mattress surfing" It was seriously fun!!!! The funny thing is, you can't reallytell cause the lighting isn't all that great on the video, but we were both wearing CHris' ski goggles!! What a bunch of geeks!!!

Jarron got a couple phone calls from family and good friends who live out of state, but he was just as happy to hear them say "Happy Birthday!" over the phone! I love that Cobey is still licking EVERY inch of that beater!!!

The best part of making a birthday cake, is getting to lick the beaters!!! Yummy!!!

Ok, so I guess I won't be going to Texas after all!!!!!:-( So Mr. Cobey has had a "cough" for the last week or so, well it got really bad today with a fever included. I knew when I took him into the doctor last week it was more than just a "cough" and I greatly appreciated the doctor "checking" his lungs or throat or anything for that matter!!! Well today the doctor, a different doctor, had me hog tie Cobey so he could stick that awful thing up his nose, down his throat and everywhere inbetween, well he was pissed!! When it was all over I was giving him loves and he just looked at me with the saddest eyes and pointed to his nose and kept saying over and over "nothe, owee", "nothe, owee" (nose, owee) he was so stuffed up he couldn't say nose right!!! It was the cutest, saddest thing ever!!!!!!! So needless to say we are homebound for the next few days!! yippee:) I take him back on Thursday to see how he is doing with all the junk we are giving him and hopefully it will just get better from here on out!! Oh by the way..... if any of you were wondering NO!!! my lovely husband is not present in this moment of chaios(sp?)!! But why would I need him, I am wonder woman remember!!!! I like to remind myself every once and a while:)

You would think with all this time I have had my husband home and I am not productive!! He is the computer hog, buying and selling all these stinking basketball cards on ebay!! I never get any computer time! Ok so here it goes.....

1. I don't like reading books!!! I know Brandi, I am a slacker!!!

2. This one is soooooo gross to admit, but I probly shave my legs a total of 3 times during the winter!!:-)

3. I have a deep, deep, deep fear of speaking in church and driving in canyons and dark water!!

4. I secretly wish I was a Jazz Dancer!!! tee hee hee!! Could ya just see me out there workin it!?

5. The only reason I dont ski or snowboard is because I can not get off the lift!! It seems so weird to me to try and do that with slick, weird things on your feet!!!

6. I would love to go to school and be a nurse( one day maybe)

7. Speaking of medical things, The best part of having a baby is the c-section and the DRUGS!!! I look forward to it:)

Ok, so I am posting old pictures until I get another camera! We are about to celebrate Jarron's 4th Birthday and I thought we would compare from then to now!! My how a year changes a kid!!! He has grown up a ton, he LOVES his preschool, all the little girls get out of the cars in the morning and say "Hi Jarron!" and all the boys say "Hi buddy!", so he is making lots of friends!!
